PRAYER REQUEST FOR REBECCA ST JAMES AND HER FAMILY
NEWS SOURCE: Rebecca St. James; Jesusfreakhideout.com October 11, 2007
Rebecca St. James and her family would appreciate your prayers this week as they go through a personal loss...
Rebecca's beloved maternal grandma, Jean Francis, went to be with Jesus on Monday of this week. Lovingly known as 'Nanna'
to the family that cherished her so dearly, she was a shining beacon for Jesus, His love, and goodness. Rebecca has flown to
Australia to be with her mother and dad, David & Helen and extended family. Thank you for your prayer for the Smallbone family!
Nanna will continue to reach the world for God's Kingdom for many, many years through the ministry hearts she and "Pops" have so
lovingly nurtured.
Along with the sad news of their loss, Rebecca shared the following encouragement with fans and friends this week...
"I read a verse just recently that speaks to the 'authentic life.' It is in the book of Luke chapter 15. It talks about the seed that was fertile that fell into the good soil and grew up to produce a large crop. Luke 8:17 says in the New American Standard Bible: 'And the seed in the good soil, these are the ones who have heard the word in an honest and good heart and hold it fast and bear fruit with perseverance.' To me that's saying God places an importance on our being honest in our hearts, being true, and by living out that truth we will bear much fruit.
Jesus died so that we could lead a life of freedom in Him—free from our sins, free from the lies so prevalent in the world around us. One of the ways we can live in the full expression of that freedom He has given to us is by being authentic."
Stay real with Jesus, my friends!
Rebecca"
